A Cos Cobber sells

The renovation and expansion of 36 Cognewaugh Road, has been completed and it has now sold for $2.850 million. I notice that the final version of its listing describes its location as “On the Riverside Border in Cos Cob”. Last February it just claimed to be “On the Riverside Border”, with no mention of its actual siting in dreaded Cos Cob, and I had some fun with that. Glad to see that the listing agent was prodded by that post into amended his listing, but I’m sure that in the end, it made no difference; these days, you pretty much have to buy a house where you find it.

The original house was purchased for $925,000 in May, 2021
