Japan Airlines now renting clothes to passengers so that they don’t have to pack luggage

The weight saved, it’s claimed, will help reduce emissions.

“We tried renting food, too, both onboard, and during our passengers’ stay at their destination”, JAL spokesman Nanki-Poo told FWIW. “but it kept getting returned in just horrible condition; horrible! The only place to get rid of it was Bangladesh, where they aren’t so picky about such matters.

“But we’re working on it”, he continued. “Using solar (of course) dryers, we’re producing a very nice-looking paste that, smeared on gluten-free toast, should please the most discerning palate. And if that doesn’t work, we’ll try something else; we will get to the bottom of this, I assure you, before the world ends in five years.”
