I still have a big canister of bear repellent, purchased, but thankfully unused during a hiking trip in the Grand Tetons. It’s still good, and still capable of shooting a large cloud of capsaicin pepper spray into a grizzly’s face from 30’ away; I imagine it would work even better on a urban eco-wuss, and I’m thinking that I’ll retrieve it from my camping gear box and keeping it in my truck instead. Just in case, you know, a bear attacks me on my way to the grocery store, or something.
