Cos Cob bidding war

More of a skirmish than WW III, I suppose, or even just a mere scuffle, but whatever the term, 20 Valleywood Road, asked $1.150 milion and sold Friday for $1.170. Valleywood Road is a good street, even if this house isn’t a prime example of the best to be had there. But cheap is affordable, so there’s that.

I notice that we’re seeing a return to the cheap, amateur iPhone photography that was used before, say, 2105, when most listing firms started using professionals. And, really, why not? If a homeowner knows that her house will be drawing multiple bids within hours of being listed, why should she pay a thousand or so for pretty pictures?
