The Riverside Association held a meeting the other day to discuss with state officials the surprising discovery that traffic on the nation’s busiest interstate highway generates noise.

All the usual complaints were heard, including that perennial favorite, a demand for more walls (they don’t work, they just bounce the noise to houses farther away) but because politicians were present, the crowd was treated to at least one howler that sent everyone home in a jolly mood:

“Greenwich Democrat and State Representative Rachael Khanna asked if it was possible to cede rights on I-95 to cyclists.”
