It's back
/351 Round Hill Road is back at the same price it was looking for back when its listing expired last in November: $5.950 million. It’s a two-acre lot in the R-4 zone, just a bit above the Merritt, but there’s certainly plenty of space for any reasonably sized family and their servants.
I can’t tell from its current pictures what I found off-putting back when this was on the market in 2006 — maybe that turrety-looking pop top on its roof, but, though Jay Haverson builds a fine house, the design of this one didn’t work for me. Nor, apparently, did it appeal to the general buying public, because Haverson listed it for $6.950 when he’d completed it in 2006, and finally had to settle for $4.950 in 2009.
Oh, well, I’m sure it will sell eventually, and our town coffers will be replenished, and the owners’ fellow taxpayers relieved when it does.
