Bank owned property sale

325 Riversville Road has closed at $1.4 million. Its last asking price was $1.249,900, but that was set at a level to entice bids, which it did. At one point back in 2016 it was priced at $2.999 million, and there appears to be well over $2.2 million in mortgage debt here, so someone took a bath.

My guess is that the 1932 house currently sitting on the property will be replaced, though homes cheek by jowl with the Merritt aren’t particularly hot sellers in Greenwich.
