It took a while for this one to catch hold of the post-Batflu rebound, but the owner's being rewarded for his patience
/849 Lake Avenue, a 1934 house renovated in 2019 expired unsold @$4.695 million in 2020. It came back on the market in June 2021, unchanged except for its price, which had been increased to $6.995; it continued to languish, unloved and unwanted, so last June the price was dropped to $6.495 but still sat. Until now, when it’s finally reported as pending. I doubt it will be selling for that hoped-for $6.495, but considering that the owner would have been satisfied with two-million less just a few years ago, I’m sure he’s pleased.
