Close to break-even, if you ignore inflation

After 608 days and starting at $6.450 million, 429 Round Hill Road, marked down to $3.9 million, is reported pending; that long on the market, it’s a reasonable guess that it’s selling for less.

The owners paid $3.7 million for the property in 2015.

It’s a beautiful property, and I’m not sure why, other than that initial asking price, it failed to find a buyer before now. Possibly the age of the main house: 1820, was a turn-off, although some of us find that an attraction, not a deterrent.
