He’s brought 2 Lauder Lane to market and priced it at $6.625 million. There’s an interesting price history here: Gideon’s clients bought the house (not the farm) for $4.8 million in 2019 from people who’d started at $7.295 two years year before. Those sellers in turn had paid $6.2 for the place in 2013, on an original asking price of $7.995, and must have felt that the original $7.995 justified their price of $7.295. They should have noticed that that $7.995 was only an Ogilvy “suggestion”, and discounted it accordingly, but not every buyer knew to do that back then.
