Today seemed almost restful today in Washington; gearing up for the big announcement tonight?

Well okay, maybe not 

The Democrats seem almost subdued, with just a couple of temper tantrum boycotts and a group singing of kumbaya around a broken microphone, but that's doubtless because they've been busy preparing Hitler signs to wave after the next Supreme Court justice is announced. Since they've already announced that they will oppose anyone Trump names, and since only their whackiest base members actually believe that the court will continue with just eight justices for the next two years while the Democrats await better election results, their reaction tonight is entirely predictable, and also irrelevant. They will squawk, their media friends will swoon, colleges will erupt in mock-outrage, and the juggernaut will keep rolling.

God, I love waking up in the morning these days.
