Waiting for Mr. Blizzard, Tmes Square

NOAA knew by Monday afternoon that the "two-foot blizzard" forecast for New York City was completely wrong and wildly exaggerated, but stayed silent because the experts didn't want to confuse the sheeple.

FWIW's NYC correspondent (that would be brother Anthony) reports that his employer, Sony Music, shut down its entire operations in the city yesterday; multiply that instance by tens of thousands of businesses and 8,000 cancelled flights, and it's obvious that huge costs were imposed on businesses and individuals by our state-appointed guardians.

But then, how much has it cost us to "prevent" global warming, for our own good?
