Noli illegitimi carborundum
/A proud motto, but eventually even the proudest among us can grow tired. 150 Stanwich Road, which held its price at $4.5 million since 2012, finally dropped to $4 million this past March and today dropped again, to $3.495. As its listing notes, it was built by Hobbs, one of our best builders (albeit they built this in 1987), it overlooks the GCC golf course ,and it's located on lower Stanwich, so convenient to town.
All that in its favor, the market has still rejected it. Personally, I'd have dropped the price many years ago, and kept dropping it til it sold, but you can't but admire the owner's determination to get her price.
(UPDATE: I just noticed that in the picture below, the ceiling appears to be cracked, water stained and coming down in sections - a trick of the eye, or reality? I haven't been in the house in several years, so I don't know).
