I think the buyer did alright here

268 Palmer Hill Road has sold for $2.350 million. Obviously Palmer Hill is not an ideal location, but this was a decent house back when it was built in 2008 (albeit with some unfortunate choices in hardware and finishes), and it looks to still be in good shape after a series of rentals. 

Its builder tried for $3.195 in 2008 which wasn't going to fly on Palmer Hill, even if the market hadn't crashed, but for this price, it's a lot of house, and with a nice back yard.
