Never thought it would happen, and certainly not at this price, but the place finally sold
/45 Farwell Lane, way, way up north, has not only sold, but it sold for $4.8 million. Wow.
The owner paid $3.850 for it in 2010, and claimed to have sunk millions more into it before relisting it in 2011 for $8.250. When that didn't work, she raised its price to $9.150 a few months later, and it's been lingering, and dropping in price ever since.
The lesson here is that there's almost always a buyer for Greenwich real estate, you just may have to wait five-or-six years for him to appear.
