33 Meeting House Road

33 Meeting House Road, which started off way back in 2008 at $8.995 million and has fallen steadily ever since, is, as of today, priced at $5.395. It's a great house, though that first price was a bit aspirational, but the real problem, as I see it, is the abandoned Jimmy Licata project just up the street at 24, which has been half-finished and crumbling the entire period that 33 has been on the market. That's got to discourage potential buyers.

The owners of 33 might well be advised to buy 24 from the bank that now owns it and raze it: Surely a nice meadow, with two building lots available, would be less off-putting than the disaster that's there now.
