No land rush here

137 Doubling Road has taken another million-dollar hit and is now priced at $4.9 million, down considerably from the $9.250 it started at in 2015. Seven acres, two lots, it’s beautiful land, but it seems no one’s been interested in building on it at its previous prices. Maybe this will do it.

The land is part of the former Bolling estate and site of Greyledge Manor, completed in 1915 and torn down in about 2005. You can read about Col. Raynal Bolling here, or visit his memorial on Greenwich Avenue. Quite a man; he went down fighting in WWI, protecting his unarmed aide. He was also a lawyer, but all sins can be forgiven.
