Shore Road (Greenwich) sale reported
/344 Shore Road has sold for $7 million. Its builder paid $2.2 million for the property in 2016, razed the existing house, built this one, and put it on the market in 2019 for $12.250. That’s almost six years of carrying charges, plus the building costs themselves, but I suppose he made out all right, if not at the profit level he’d hoped for.
It’s downwind and across from the sewage plant, and its “deepwater dock” is bound to disappoint the buyer when he discovers an 18” depth at low tide, but he has a Greenwich zip code, so he presumably knew what he was buying, even if his agent followed standard realtor practice (and tide charts), and only showed the house at specific hours of the day.
