Whoa — the hell with COVID, Pal Nancy, Sarah and Kate are all in this burn zone

Colorado burning. Boulder, Louisville, and neighboring towns. Sarah moved from Louisville last year to northeast Boulder, ten miles away, while Nancy lives in Lafayette, on the border of Louisville. Louisville itself has already been evacuated, and the fires are moving so swiftly that both women have their cars packed and, as Nancy told me, are “keeping an eye on things”.

UPDATE, Dec. 31: Pal Nancy reports that she did leave for a few hours, but returned after an all-clear was issued. 6”-12’ of snow is predicted to begin this afternoon, and the 80 mph winds have calmed, so that’s all good.
