Unidentified students told the outlet that they were frustrated by the decision and felt that Rieder’s tenured position afforded him too much protection.
“Those are the benefits of being tenured,” one student said. “You’re allowed to say whatever you want, and you’re allowed to say things that people don’t like.”
And now, a word from down under:
An angry father has gone viral after sharing the 'disgusting' letter his teenage daughter was given by her boss on her first day of work.
Taking to Twitter under the handle Essjax, the horrified father from New Zealand shared the shocking list of 11 rules the young woman was given to 'understand' her place while she was employed at the retailer.
Waiting until after his daughter had resigned, he tweeted: 'Kid recently left her job at a local retailer (which employs mostly 16 year-olds to pay well under min wage). This is a letter she received from the boss when she arrived on her first day on that job'.
The demeaning guidelines included 'advice' on how to cope with life after high school, with one rule claiming you should 'accomplish something before you feel good about yourself', and another warning employees that 'life is not fair - get used to it'.
The world’s gone to hell
