175 Riverside Avenue (for you old-timers, one of the Murphy houses built on the Meekers’ yard, across from Gilliam Lane) sold for $1,675,500 in July, came back on the market two weeks ago and went to multiple-bids. It is now reported under contract. Asking price was $1.850 million; where it ended up, we’ll see.

Built in a day out of cardboard and bubble gum, and laid on a concrete slab, these houses sold for $27,000 [Brother Anthony says $19,500, and I’ll happily defer to his superior memory] back in the mid-sixties. They’ve appreciated since.
