Has the bloom gone off the black window farmhouse look so quickly?
/22 Angus Lane constructed in 2020 and on the market since January of that year, has taken its 4th price cut and is now asking for $4.699 million. It was originally priced at $6.250 and clung stubbornly to that number for a full year, before, I’d guess, the weight of carrying a large project like this began to grow wearisome, and the builder began tossing dollars overboard.
Then again, who knows what drives some of these house hunting quirks? 9 Hobart Drive, around the corner, was a 1948 home that underwent a (very nice, to my eye) complete black window transformation, sold yesterday for $6 million, after being listed for just $5.7. Go figure.
