Cos Cob Contract
/4 Steep Hollow Lane, priced at $2.350, has a contract after 63 days, a time on the market that suggests that it’s going for reasonably close to, but not over, its asking price. That, of course, is just a guess: in this market, it’s possible that last week, a swarm of buyers appeared all at once and bid the price up to $16 million.
I like Steep Hollow Lane, and I liked this house when I last saw it in 2004. It needed work then, and from the current listing pictures, that work was done. At the risk of offending the “this time will be different” believers among my readers, I’ll point out that the 2004 selling price, before renovation, was $2.412 million.
Just sayin’.
