Bummer: this landmark's contract has failed, and it's back on the market

Last heard from, the 1750 antique farmhouse at 44 Sound Beach Avenue was safely under contract, with a prospective buyer who has a fine reputation for preserving the few remnants of the town’s history that still exist, but today the property is back on the market as an active listing.

I don’t know why went wrong, but it’s discouraging.
