We've had so many wars that the term "pre-war has now gone generic, at least in real estate circles
/30 Beechcroft Road has sold for $3.395 million. There’s not much of interest in the house or the price, but I was struck by the realtor’s description of this 1949 house as being “a stunning pre-war colonial”. That’s a term that used to refer to pre-WWII construction, but now, I don’t know: Korea? Viet Nam? Grenada? Iraq/Afghanistan? Ukraine?
It’s so hard to keep up.
