If COVID can pull Sherwood Farms out of its death cycle, is there hope now for Chieftains?

Probably not, but at least Sherwood’s showing signs of a revival: 10 Sherwood Farms Lane, asking $4.6 million, reports a contract after just six months. The houses on Sherwood and its sister Stillman Lane were without exception built to top-quality standards — I toured one once with a fellow agent from my office who was also an architect and a builder of high-end houses himself, and he kept pointing out certain features and repeating, “I couldn’t build this at this cost” — but after initial success in 2002-2004, prices lagged, and then dropped, for reasons I could never quite understand.

So it’s nice to see that the houses here are coming back, as they deserve to.
