Mmm: the 10% ethanol requirement, kept solely because Iowa has an early primary and corn growers vote, It’s less efficient than gasoline, it increases air pollution, it absorbs moisture and so must be transported in different pipelines from gasoline, it ruins engine seals, which, when the mandate was first imposed, forced engine manufactures to completely rework their engines, and by raising the price of corn, makes feed costs and thus price of cattle, chickens, etc. more expensive, and discourages the growing of other crops, like soybeans and sunflowers, which are especially needed right now.

So Joe has bumped that 10% to 15%, which those same reworked engine seals can’t stand up to and will have to be rebuilt and redesigned, the price of corn will rise still further and so, will meat, and because ethanol reduces mileage, motorists will be paying more for fuel.

But it allows the cabal to appear to “be doing something” about high gasoline prices.
