11 Hendrie Avenue will be coming on the market next week at $3.399 million (it’s a Compass listing, but they haven’t posted it yet, so you get Zillow, instead). This one was built in 1911 — 89 Hendrie was built in 1940 —and sits on the same size 0.29-acre lot as 89 Hendrie. So you can see, I think, that a buyer could sink some real money into renovating #89 and feel pretty secure about it.

Or it could be torn down, of course; I‘m just pointing out that there’s an alternative that can make economic sense.
