Old Greenwich sale price reported

38 Forest Avenue, listed June 21 at $1.950 million, sold to Australian buyers for $2.125.

Back in the late 80s, early 90s, I handled the legal side of a couple of transactions here, and I wondered how their price then has held up to inflation. It turns out, not bad at all. This one sold new in 1989 for $605,000, and dropped a little by 1992, when it resold for $590,000. In current dollars, that would have been $1,445,540, and $1,246,000, respectively.
