A contract in Lia Fail
/9 Lia Fail Way, Cos Cob, $1.495 million, 27 days on market. This was the childhood home of my friend Aimee Liu, the most beautiful girl in Eastern Junior High (and GHS). Aimee went on to Yale, so that was the end of that friendship — I can’t believe she let this dummy into her social world in the first place — but we’d reconnect on her visits back east, and it was always a pleasure.
Aimee’s parents bought the place new in 1950, and her father’s widow, Jane, lived there until she finally moved to Nathanial Witherall, where she died this year at the age of 101. May Aimee enjoy the same long life.
A very nice house, though I doubt it will survive the wrecker’s ball: just 2 bedrooms, 1,902 sq. ft., on 1.6 acres, the times and needs of buyers of 1950 have long passed.
