A not unexpected development
/36 Shore Road, Old Greenwich, has taken another price cut, and after starting at $6.5 million in July 2022 is now looking for $4.4. I expressed my doubts about this pricing back in September ‘22, and haven’t changed my opinion.
36 Shore Road, from $6.5 million to $6.2. The family that owned this house previously was one of our family’s closest friends, and without in any way meaning to denigrate the house itself, I’ll gently suggest that the quality of that family far exceeded the workmanship of the house itself.
They sold it to these owners for $2.9 million (and put the proceeds into building a fabulous new house on coastal Maine), and so far as I can see, nothing’s been done to it since except normal maintenance. But 2022 is probably a different market than 2014, so … maybe.
