A modest price cut, but then, this house has much to be modest about

son of frankenstein

25 Edgewood Drive has dropped its price from $14.250 to $13.750.

Way back in 2004, this 1905 home was sold for $5.6 million to buyers who took the derelict mansion, scraped every scrap of charm out of it, and expanded it from its original 6,762 sq. ft. to 15,150 by grafting … something … onto it. Having completed that bit of architectural vandalism they rested until 2020, when they put it on the market for $14.850 and sold it to the current owners in December ‘21 for $12.250

The Greenwich market has never shown a particular regard for antique homes or their architecture, so the ravishing of this one shouldn’t hurt its chances; my guess is that it will find a buyer willing to pay something reasonably close to this new asking price.
