Either some buyer was feeling generous, or there was a teensy bidding war on Perkins last September

101 Perkins Road, which was listed at $5.395 million has sold for $5.4. The owners paid $5 million for it in 2014, tried reselling it for $5.295 in 2016, gave up and rented it in ‘17, and then tried unsuccessfully for just $3.795 in 2019; someone should have nabbed it then, obviously.

The listing claims it was expanded in 2000 and “renovated” in 2023, but it’s been the same 7,492 sq.ft. since at least 2014, and comparing pictures from the previous 9-years-worth of listings, it seems that those renovations were limited to sweeping dust bunnies from under the beds and fluffing the pillows; in other words, the typical realtor’s understanding of the words “expanded” and “renovated”.
