Is it mere coincidence that filmmaker Lamorisse was also the creator of the game of world conquest, Risk? I think not.
UPDATE, 2/15/2022: I told you so. White House now blames balloon invasion on used car salesmen. White House Homeland Security Advisor Sherwood-Randall then claims that most of the things flying over us are probably “used car lot balloons,” Fox reported.
