That scientific fact was published by the British paper “The Independent” in 2000, and reprinted by other science journals like the NYT and the broadcast monkeys. After being proved utterly wrong in the ensuing decades, the Independent pulled the article from the web* but, alas for them and their fellow global warmists, not before it was saved for posterity by sentient beings.
