From new listing to pending in 10 days

1 Seagate Road, in Riverside’s Harbor Point development, went on the market at $3.495 just a few days ago, and is now reported as pending. This 1973 ranch could probably be reworked and modernized and turned back into a very nice house, but I suspect it’s dumpster fodder.

Harbor Point’s a nice enough place, with a community dock and beach, though it’s a long way from stores and schools — then again, what are domestics for? And the neighbors do have a propensity to sue each other, for fun, or perhaps some sort of group therapy, and that can lead to interesting neighborhood clambakes and cocktail parties. But hey — how many milquetoasts do you know who’ve climbed far enough up the ladder to buy a house in this price range? It’s all good.
