Just in case you yourself are feeling patriotic and generous, know that voluntary overpayment funds have long been available. Practically no one takes advantage of this easy way to demonstrate their love of country and state (in Massachusetts, the coffers swelled by $250,000 some years back when the state budget was $40 billion), and both Senator Warren and then-Senator John Kerry specifically refused to do so, but they can certainly do so now.
