14 Crescent Road, four days from listing to pending. The owners paid $2.3 million for it in 2018, but the swiftness with which this went from active to game-over makes me think that they’re doing far better than its mere $200,000 markup might suggest.

Have I mentioned that there’s almost no inventory these days? That’s not a comment on the merits of this particular house, just an observation of how quickly homes in decent condition and anywhere close to a reasonable price are selling now; it’s incredibly frustrating for buyers and a very satisfactory condition for sellers. Markets change, of course, but for now, sellers are in the catbird seat.
