We’d like to think celebrated author Joyce Carol Oates just has a wicked dry wit. We’ve been waiting a long time for her to top her tweet about a barbaric Stephen Speilberg killing a poor triceratops. It’s still up:

On Saturday, to commemorate King Charles’ coronation, David Hering posted a photo of Charles wearing the “royal infinity gauntlet.”
The lady has since deleted her post after, apparently, being informed by one of her great-great-grandchildren that the image was photoshopped from a comic book, but as noted above, she still hasn’t figured out that the triceratopses had left the building years before Steven Spielberg showed up on the earth set.
