The Supreme Court's striking down affirmative action won't affect universities — they're already devising new ways to do the same thing — but the military may have to return to promoting on merit
/The Supremes have, to no one’s surprise, ruled that Harvard can’t use affirmative action in its admission process. That’s fine, although it will have little effect, and besides, who, other than proud bog trotter parents, really cares what crawls out of Harvard clutching a degree?
The ruling may have a salutary effect on our national security, however, considering the howls of protest coming from the Pentagon REMFs* who’ve been ruining the armed forces for some decades now. Let’s hope so. In the meantime, here’s who coming in as Biden’s new Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman:
