Oh, how we HATE when this happens!
/17 Center Road was listed at $1.395 million, immediately went to multiple bidding, but it’s apparently going to be sold to someone known to the owners and excluded from the listing contract, thereby depriving a hard-working buyer’s agent of their rightful compensation.
(UPDATE) The buyer chose not to retain his own agent — he didn’t save on the commission, but at least he had the satisfaction of knowing that he didn’t have to hear, let alone listen to anyone else’s advice. There are people like that.
Sad.
It’s a tiny house — 1,395 sq. ft. — but it’s in a good location (Center Road is south of the Village, and not to be confused with Center Drive, up near Perrot Library), so it isn’t surprising that several buyers were interested. We’ll find out what the final price is when the sale closes.
