Almost exactly one year ago, 1 Seagate Road, in Riverside, was purchased for $4,612,000 million, quite a bit above its asked-for price of $3.495. Today the winner of that bidding war has put it back up for sale, at $4.995; he’d better hope that some of those original bidders are still around because sometimes — not always, but sometimes — people lose their little minds in auctions and pay far more than an item is actually worth.
