Old Greenwich sale

The (former, as of today) owners of 26 Shore Acre Drive bought it for $3,005,000 ($2.795 list) last August ‘23, changed their mind — job transfer? – and put it back on the market in late June for $2.995. It sold today for $3.125.

I notice that the property was put up for rent by the new owners in July: “Long term”, but not renewable, after they had entered into contract but before they took title, and that rental listing is still active; I’m guessing that they have intentions to raze this one and build biggerbetterbrighterwider, and figure that they might as well defray expenses while they go through the permitting process for the next year or so.
