Pecksland price cut
/67 Pecksland, from $8.750 million to $7.9
It's a gorgeous, wonderful house, but it's met some price resistance over the past year. The listing notes that:
This 8,000+ s.f. home was renovated "to the nine's" by architect Mac Patterson. A 2.5 year restoration in 2004 included weight & chain windows w/ restoration glass, slate roof, 6 coat plaster walls and super-efficient 7-zone European heating system.
And all of that's true, but that heavy lifting was done by the previous owner, who sold the place to the current owner for $7.150 in 2006, a year that pretty much marked the top of the market back. Pecksland, at least, has yet to climb back to that peak, and I suspect that's what's preventing this from selling.
