20 Dewart Road

I am not bashing the Mid-Country (although I do think the Back-Country is dead, at least for now)  but the price history of 20 Dewart Road, last asking price $2.550 million and now reported as under contract, demonstrates the area's troubles.

It's a perfectly nice, if dated house, that debuted at $3.6 million in March, 2016. The sellers paid $2.750 for it in 2009, and despite having to put in a bunch of money to upgrade it, probably thought they'd grabbed a bargain, because the sellers they bought it from had paid $3.075 for it in 2004.

This is not a trend that will make mid-country owners comfortable.
