Quick sale in Riverside
/23 Crescent Road, $2.1 million, has a contract in just 36 days (deduct a week or two for contract negotiations and building inspections, and that 36 days was even less). No surprise here, because it’s a clean house on a good street within easy walking distance of Riverside and Eastern and the train — the trifecta for many younger buyers — and well priced for homes in this range. Interesting to note that this same house failed to find a buyer for a year in 2009-2010, when priced at $2.2 million. Those years were smack in the middle of the trough for Greenwich real estate; Riverside has recovered, but other areas of town have not.
