House leadership drops funding provision for Israel’s missile defense system

A group of far-left lawmakers — including Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) — forced House Democratic leadership Tuesday to cut $1 billion for Israel’s Iron Dome from a short-term government funding bill.

The money will be restored by coming back as either a stand-alone bill or being included in another spending bill, symbolic acts are just the: they’re intended to send a message, and the radical left sent that message, loud and clear, to their own party and the country: the days of American support for Israel are numbered. The more important message was that intended for their fellow Democrats alone: we’re on the ascendency, and will soon run this shop. I’m surprised they didn’t break into song, especially that one by a native of Omar the bigamist’s adopted state:

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
