Here's a 2020 buyer who's already done well

62 Sterling Road, $3.195 million

62 Sterling Road, designed by the late Rick Moisan and completed in 2007 and put on the market at $5.695 million. That was not the time for big-ticket mansions, and the house came on and off the market for years, usually rented out, until it sold in 2013 for $3.850 million. Those buyers, in turn, tried for $3.8 million in 2018 and finally gave up in April 2020, just as the world was shutting down for COVID, selling it to the present owners from Manhattan for $2.520.

They put the place back up for sale ten days ago for $3.195, and already have a contract.

Sterling Road is certainly pretty far up there, but for someone looking for a house in the area, and there are such people, this isn’t a bad price, and that $2.520 purchase was a downright steal.
