248 Round Hill Road, which started off at $5.5 million last December and dropped to $4.450, has sold for $3.5 million. I wrote about this house some months ago, and you can find that post and pictures here.
I didn’t know until I looked it up just now, the house was built for Carl and Shirley Sontheimer, of Cuisinart fame (here’s a nifty article from Bon Appetit telling the story of its invention and huge success). They sold the company for $42 million in 1987 and this house was built in 1988, so I guess we know where some of that money went.
