Lightfoot issued the emergency declaration following the arrival of 48 migrants on Tuesday, according to a press release, which states that the city and state have provided emergency care for over 8,000 migrants since August 2022.
Eight thousand aliens, total, have alit in Chicago now, out of the six million brought across by Biden and Lightfoot’s fellow Democrats in the past two years (with another million or so “gotaways”); where did she think they would go, and who did she think would feed and clothe them and educate their children? Not all of Lightfoot’s new neighbors will be able to support themselves by dealing drugs, and Martha’s Vineyard’s progressives can only do so much.
